Hipster ® Jesus performing his ‘Gibraltar’ – with Angus Martin
From the archives, Hans Kloepfer, referred to comically as ‘Hipster ® Jesus ‘, and Angus Martin perform the first song of Hans’s nautical trilogy, ‘Gibraltar’.
Set in the 1920’s, it’s the story of a young woman whose true love embarks at sea, on a ship, perishing in a shipwreck on Gibraltar, never to return home. The trilogy is sung from the different perspectives, his, hers, and the lighthouse keeper she marries gaining access to the lighthouse key, so she can look for her true love’s ship.
This was recorded pre 2010 with rudimentary means, so the levels unfortunately cannot be adjusted.

Captured at ‘The Homestead’, Monday December 15, 2014, San Francisco’s favorite Maestro, Urs Leonhardt Steiner, delivers a masterful performance along with the SF Sinfonietta Chorus and pianist Nicole Faghihi, performing excerpts from Handel’s masterwork, ‘The Messiah’, proving that bars and masterpieces are indeed a prefect match. Rough editing at best..
